No matter how you operate your business, our all-new Summit platform will be there to support it. Check out the following quick tips to get insights on the new platform!
Grouping Your Devices
This all-new Summit now allows you to provide exclusive access to groups of devices within your company and to third party organizations or individuals. You can group devices by location, type of device (4G, 5G), and much more. Once you have an idea of how you want to group your devices, you’ll then want to go in and create your groups.
To group your devices:
Login to Summit
Click on Groups on the left hand side
Click on the big blue plus sign on the top right
Name your group and add a description
Invite users to specific groups (i.e. technicians, managers, etc.)
Next you’ll add your devices (either by Search function or pasting serial numbers)
You’ll then get a Summary of the group you just created to confirm the group information
Creating Users and Assigning Roles
Add users to your account in the new Summit 3.0. These users and their roles allow you to keep your entire portfolio secure and visible to only those you want and permissions can be customized so specific actions are only available to those you grant rights to.
To create a new user:
Login to Summit
Click on Users on the left hand side
Click on the big blue plus sign on the top right
Type in the email of the person(s) you want to add
Select the dropdown titled Role to assign a role with specific permission to the person
Click the green Add button
Then click the green Send button to send the user a confirmation email
Your user will then want to accept the email invite and will be able to login and access their specific information from there
You can also check on email invites you’ve sent out in the tab Invites on the right next to the Users tab
Navigating the Dashboard
Your business moves fast and this all-new Summit was built to help you stay on top of what matters most to you. The goal of the dashboard is to give customers a quick visual glance of your entire portfolio. Data fields on your Dashboard can be customized so you can prioritize what you see and what shows up.
To customize your dashboard:
Login to Summit
You'll be directed to the Dashboard by default
You’ll then want to select the dropdown titled All Devices and choose which way you’d like to view your devices (i.e. by specific groups or sub organizations)
Your dashboard will then display the correct pie chart along with a bar graph displaying the information according to what you chose
Creating Sub-Organizations
A sub-organization is a separate portfolio of devices managed by individuals that may or not be part of your main organization. You can delegate different individuals to own and manage each sub-org and its assigned devices. Assign devices to a sub-organization to grant them the responsibility to manage and maintain their devices.
To create a sub-organization:
Login to Summit
Click on Sub-Organizations on the left hand side
Click on the big blue plus sign on the top right
Name your sub-organization and add a description
Invite users to specific sub-organizations (one owner needs to be assigned per sub-organization)
Your user will then want to accept the email invite and will be able to login and access their specific information from there
