ATMIA: Upcoming Conference and Partnership with OptConnect

For years now, OptConnect has had a long-standing partnership with the ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) and has supported its enduring mission of promoting ATM convenience, growth, and ATM usage worldwide. ATMIA is the leading non-profit trade association representing the entire global ATM industry. Founded in 1997, the organization serves more than 11,000 members from over 650 companies located in 70 countries spanning the entire ATM ecosphere, including financial institutions, independent ATM deployers, equipment manufacturers, processors, and a plethora of ATM service and value-added solution providers. Being that OptConnect is the largest connectivity provider for the ATM space, it’s important to us to do what we can to make sure the ATM industry has the support it needs to continue and thrive. From sponsoring ATMIA’s annual conference to involving ourselves in their initiatives, OptConnect’s partnership with ATMIA is one of dedication and cause. Each year, many ATMIA members and attendees converge on a 3-day conference to network, learn, and move the industry forward. This conference is a great way for ATMIA to fulfill its core values of Education, Advocacy, and Connections. The conference is a great place to keep up with industry trends, learn what’s coming, and gain feedback on the latest security and cutting-edge innovations that will affect the industry. OptConnect is committed to ATMIA and often speaks or participates in panel discussions surrounding connectivity concerns, security, and more. This year's event will take place in Houston, TX, and OptConnect will be hosting Session 6: The Future of ATM Connectivity on Wednesday, February 12, from 12:15-12:55 pm in Ballroom C of the Hilton Americas Houston.

Here is a teaser on what to expect from our ATMIA session:

The landscape of cellular connectivity is changing, and ATM operators have more options available to them than ever before. In this session, we will discuss the introduction of 5G, the phasing out of 2G/3G, and the new special class of 4G dedicated and built for machines like ATMs (4G LTE Category M1). Connectivity expert Steve Garrett and I will give an overview of the different connectivity options and the capabilities of each that will help ATM operators understand how to choose the best technology for their business in order to achieve greater uptime and increased reliability. We are expecting this session to really resonate with ATM operators, so don't miss it.
